Admissions & Fees
Making the right choice of school for your child is very important. We very much hope that you will choose Avenue House and we welcome prospective parents and their children at any time.
Summary Admissions Information
Children entering the Foundation Stage are required to attend one or two introductory sessions before entry to ensure that we are able to offer the appropriate education for them. Children who apply for a place in years 1 to 6 are required to successfully complete half a day with the rest of the form and sit an entrnce exam, before a formal offer of a place is made.
We encourage applications from children with as diverse a range of backgrounds as possible. This enriches our school community and is important to prepare all pupils for a multicultural world. Avenue House is committed to equal treatment for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or social background.
In order to cope with the academic and social demands of Avenue House, pupils should be confident speakers of English. If tuition in English as an Additional Language is required, this can be arranged at the parents' expense.
We welcome pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities providing that our Learning Support can provide the help that they require. We advise parents of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities or physical disabilities to discuss their child's requirements with us before applying in order to ensure that we can make adequate provision for their needs.
A Parent may remove their child from school provided a full term's written notice is given to the Headteacher or a term's fees are paid in lieu of such notice.
