Macmillan Coffee Morning 2017
An impressive 12th Macmillan Coffee Morning at Avenue House School saw parents, children and staff contribute for a very worthy cause.
The raffle tickets on sale each morning courtesy of the AHSPSC were eagerly sought after in the hope of securing one of over fifty-five prizes! Donations from local businesses, parents and staff provided for an exciting prize draw in Monday’s special assembly.
The array of delicious cakes, cookies, muffins and biscuits tempted parents and staff throughout the morning whilst children waited patiently for their chance to sample the tasty treats later that afternoon.
The whole Avenue House School community contributed and a staggering total of £1,584.28 was raised. This surpasses the total achieved in 2016. It is a remarkable accomplishment representative of a thoroughly worthwhile endeavour. Much appreciation goes to those who made this event possible, volunteered their time, weighed out ingredients, carefully baked and decorated, tolerated sticky fingers and dipped into their purse or wallet in order to help.
All proceeds are sure to be well-received by Macmillan Cancer Support.
