It’s a bit cold!

In Year 3 we have been studying polar environments this spring term. In conjunction with this focus in Geography, Art lessons have involved the exploration of wildlife typical of such regions.

The penguins pictured challenged the fine motor skills of this age group. Constructed from a range of materials, including clay, wood, and plastic, these models were developed with considerable care and the children were delighted with the final outcome.

Demonstrating a methodical approach, pupils engaged with plenty of enthusiasm and applied the techniques taught to achieve the intended result. Let’s just hope those miniature scarves keep them warm!

“Pupils develop effective higher order thinking skills by undertaking independent learning tasks.”
