Drama Workshop
On Friday 27th January Nursery enjoyed a drama workshop. The children pretended to be clowns, and pulled funny faces. They also pretended to ride uni-cycles and walked a tight rope and to trick a lion. As you can see from the photographs they had a great time.

Planting Bulbs

Chinese New Year

Autumn Term
This half of the Autumn term, Nursery have been exploring different colours. We have looked at items on a tray and played a memory game. We have also made paintings and printings using different colours, and learnt about colour mixing. We also made blue streamers.
Last week we made shakers from yogurt pots and lentils and we chose different colours to cover our pots.
This week we have been pirates searching for gold coins in the sand box. We made treasure maps and pirate hats.
As part of our topic on transport, this week we have looked at space. We read the story “Whatever next” By Jill Murphy. The story is about a bear who goes into space using a cardboard box as a rocket and a colander as a space helmet. He is going to have a picnic on the Moon. He meets an owl on the way who travels with him.
The children have had great fun re-enacting this story and travelling to the moon for a picnic. They also took turns to dress as space men, made alien masks and made a fabulous joint picture of rockets, aliens and planets.
